Privacy Policy

• Guest and account identifiers. The app creates an anonymous Firebase identifier when you first use personalized features. If you create or sign in to an account, we process your email address, optional display name, sign-in provider, and account identifier.
• Your choices. We store your selected home town, search radius, interests, notification preferences, saved events, and theme choice. NCW Events does not ask for or store your device's precise location.
• Notifications. If you turn on mobile notifications, we store a device push token and platform so the requested alerts can be delivered.
• Sage questions. If you use the optional Sage assistant, your question and recent conversation history are processed to answer you. Chat history may be stored with your account so the conversation can continue.
• Usage and diagnostics. We collect limited interaction events, pseudonymous identifiers, selected town, app or browser information, crash reports on mobile, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service. Analytics does not receive your email, precise location, event titles, search text, or Sage question text.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us about support, privacy, or an event correction, we receive the information you choose to include.

• provide the feed, saved events, preferences, account access, notifications, maps, and Sage answers;
• keep guest choices connected to the same account when you sign in;
• measure whether core features work and improve the service;
• diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, secure accounts, and maintain operations;
• respond to support, privacy, correction, and removal requests;
• comply with law and enforce our terms.

We use service providers to host and operate NCW Events, including Google Cloud and Firebase for authentication, databases, server functions, analytics, crash reporting, push messaging, and maps. Apple or Google may also process information when they distribute the app or deliver a mobile notification.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information, rent mailing lists, or use personal information for targeted advertising.

When you open an event's source website, that third party receives the normal information sent by your browser or device. Its privacy policy applies to that visit and to any registration or purchase you make there.

Account information, preferences, saves, notification tokens, and stored Sage history remain while your account is active. You can delete your account from Profile. Account deletion removes your Firebase account and the personal documents stored beneath it, including preferences, saves, device tokens, and chat history.

Inactive anonymous accounts are scheduled for deletion after 60 days. Limited security, billing, diagnostic, and aggregate analytics records may remain for operational, fraud-prevention, legal, or provider retention periods. These records are not used to restore a deleted account.

Support and correction messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, document the result, protect the service, or meet legal obligations.

• Use the feed as a guest without creating a named account.
• Change interests, home town, radius, theme, and notification preferences in Profile.
• Turn mobile notifications off in the app or in device settings.
• Remove saved events at any time.
• Delete your account and its user-scoped data from Profile.
• Contact us to ask about your information or a privacy request.

We use access controls, encrypted network connections, restricted database rules, and managed infrastructure to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

NCW Events is a general-audience event guide and is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date when we do.
